Twenty projects to transform tourism with Europe’s Next Generation funds

Tourism. Nearly 41 million euros has been secured to boost the sustainability, equity and quality of the tourism model.

The transformation and diversification of the tourism model will be driven with twenty projects receiving Europe’s Next Generation funding. Nearly 41 million euros has been obtained in all, which will be invested to boost the sustainability, equity and quality of tourist activity.

The projects correspond to the main goals in the new tourism model for the city:

  • Compatibility with community life.
  • Decentralisation of areas.
  • Creation of new content.
  • Promotion of sustainable mobility.
  • Improvement of energy efficiency.
  • Backing for digitalisation.

The projects will be carried out between 2023 and 2025.
