Barcelona’s network of Art Factories has a brand new website. This platform aims to become a work tool for art professionals and a communication channel for artistic creation activities that occur in the city. The website will therefore become a meeting place for artists, creation centres and citizens. It will provide tools like a resource search engine for professionals from the art sector, with results separated between grants and aid for creation, residencies and international programmes. It also reviews the services and facilities that are available at each centre of the Art Factories network. Moreover, the website has a section devoted to news related to what is happening in the art and creation sector, and a calendar where featured activities for both professionals and general audiences are listed.

The Barcelona City Council’s Institut de Cultura has been working since 2007 to set up this network of spaces aimed at artistic creation. The website has been created as a way to promote the initiative and provide more support to artists and creators; it is intended as an instrument to connect professionals with the centres that provide the spaces and support they need to carry out their work.
