8 "made in" MID Talent projects

Having lived and worked together in October and November, two groups of participants from the MID Talent (Design Ideas Market) were given the opportunity to work on 8 different projects. The 40 young people who took part were tasked with overcoming one of the two challenges that were set:

Towards a more sustainable city

Based on FabCity project from FabLab Bcn, the young creators looked for proposals that responded to major urban problems, focusing on the neighbourhood of Poblenou. This is how the Green Hand team thought of reusing coffee grounds to make exfoliating soap, or The Finders group proposed the use of vertical gardens to improve the air quality in the city.

Talent and homeless people

The Arrels foundation has created a space in Barcelona, giving guidance and offering a future to homeless people. In collaboration with this foundation, four other projects have sought solutions to the day-to-day problems of homeless people. Why not use unused public buses to create a network of mobile spaces to accommodate these people? This is what the We are Billy team thought. Other spaces in the city could also provide space and shelter, according to the Hello Mik team, awarding businesses and organisations a "homeless friendly" designation.

From 2018, you will be able to sign up for the new creative groups which will be formed in order to focus on 8 other projects. We look forward to seeing you!
