The “Arribo” or arrival of the Carnival King, the Ambassadors of the Seven Nations, mask balls, music processions and the Burial of the Sardine are just a few of the traditional and historical characters and events, besides the communal parades in most of the city’s neighbourhoods, that take place in the King of Carnival's kingdom during the Carnival festival.
