The MUHBA Atlas of Barcelona history, coordinated by the Barcelona History Museum, is the first historical atlas of the city to be published. It is therefore an original, innovative work and undoubtedly a great reference book for specialists and also the general public. This is an attractive and engaging publication due to its visual content, with cartographic material, maps and photographs of a high quality, and also rigorous, with content written by specialists in the history of Barcelona.
The atlas maps out the historical trajectory of the city and is divided into two sections. In the first section, each chapter features a general text, a cartographic approximation, the geopolitical vision of that time, an in-depth analysis of each period and photographs of the city landscape as it is today. A second section covers the strategic issues of 20th century Barcelona. In short, this is a publication that will make an impression and is a must-read for history buffs and people with an interest in the city.
