European Union projects for safer and more sustainable mobility
Promoting a sustainable and safe urban mobility through technology.
The IMI (Municipal Institute of Information Technology) is taking part in several European Union projects to promote sustainable and safe urban mobility through technology. We are developing ICT infrastructures through Celeste to achieve a safer and more sustainable connected mobility, in line with European ISA (Intelligent Speed Assistant) regulations and standards.
The RideSafeUM project is designing a system, complementary to the existing regulations, which improves accident prevention. It integrates artificial vision, geolocation and real-time data to send alerts on incidents that pose a risk. RideSafeUM users will receive alerts in their personal-mobility vehicle about areas with speed or traffic restrictions.
We are also working with Pledger to improve the safety of pedestrians and vulnerable users, with new edge computing infrastructure.
