There are times in history when time seems to speed up and events rush at a faster pace than usual. The 1930s are one of those hectic times. Barcelona is experiencing the decline of a dictatorship, the abdication of the king, the proclamation of the Republic, the horror of war and the beginning of a new dictatorship. Ten years that seems like a whole century.
And all this is reflected in the municipal archives; plans, invoices, handwritten notes, photographs and files of all kinds, speak to us in their own voice, you just have to know how to listen to them.
