For almost 600 years, Barcelona has had a unique festive feature: its giant figures, which have accompanied the most important celebrations without interruption, even at the most difficult times. Today’s giants, big and small, along with the dwarfs and ‘big-heads’, belong to a wide range of numerous groups, associations and other entities.

However, this volume covers those that belong to the giant groups of the Barcelona neighbourhoods that grew out of the old towns and villages of the Barcelona Plain which, like the rest, keep this giant tradition alive in the city.
