IFNI. La mili africana dels catalans

Author/s
Alberto López Bargados, Eloy Martín Corrales and Khalid El-Mansouri

A book that explains, in black and white, the vicissitudes experienced by Catalan soldiers in the Spanish colony of Ifni during Francoism. Ifni was the translation of Franco’s imperialist dreams into practice. And the cause – in 1957 and 1958 – of a war that his regime concealed as well as they could.

Nonetheless, to oblige those imperialist desires, many Catalan soldiers found themselves involved in a senseless occupation and war. This book recovers the memory of those times and, in particular, the experiences of so many Catalans who were the involuntary protagonists of the period.
