Granada offers two international literary residencies for 2025
The call, open until 31 August, is aimed at writers and translators from around the world with at least two published works.
Granada, a UNESCO City of Literature, has opened the call for applications for the 2025 edition of its International Writers in Residence Programme. The initiative, led by Granada City Council and the University of Granada, aims to foster international cooperation in the literary field and strengthen ties between local and international creators.
The programme offers a thirty-night stay, from 3 November to 2 December 2025, at the historic Corrala de Santiago. Writers and translators of any nationality and language may apply, provided they have at least two published (excluding self-published) works and a literary project to develop during the residency.
The two selected authors will receive accommodation and full board, as well as coverage for travel expenses. They will also participate in local cultural events and engage with the city’s literary community.
Applications must be submitted by email before 31 August. The names of the selected candidates will be announced on 30 September via the official Granada City of Literature website.
