Community life and civic responsibility

Priority will be given to tackling issues such as unlicensed street vending (particularly of food and drink), the sale of alcohol to minors, disturbances caused by unauthorised drinking in public spaces, excessive noise on public roads, graffiti or tagging, and urinating in the street.

Purple points

Efforts will be stepped up to prevent sexual violence, especially in nightlife areas.

Each night, three pairs of roving female information officers will be present throughout the festival sites, along with a dedicated ‘purple point’ for advice and reporting in Plaça de la Revolució. This facility will provide guidance, information, and support in dealing with incidents of sexist or LGBTI-phobic abuse or assault.

Safe routes

This year, three safe routes will be established to help prevent criminal behaviour and offences against sexual freedom. These routes have been designed jointly by the Barcelona City Police and the Mossos d’Esquadra. Route 1: Plaça Lesseps – Gran de Gràcia – Diagonal. Route 2: Plaça Gal·la Placídia – Travessera de Gràcia – Plaça Joanic – Bruniquer. Route 3: Plaça Lesseps – Torrent de l’Olla – Còrsega.

Drone service

The City Police will deploy its drone service, providing real-time images as a tool to support operational teams and enhance safety.

Maximum capacity

As an exceptional measure, from 6.00 p.m. during periods of peak capacity, recommended entry routes will be introduced for decorated streets to promote one-way access. This is intended to ensure optimal safety, accessibility, and enjoyment of the festivities, while improving the flow of people within the streets.

In the event of heavy pedestrian congestion, the timings for these recommended routes may be brought forward. The plan aims to manage decorated streets during periods of peak attendance and visitor agglomeration, where necessary, one-way systems may be made compulsory, with designated entry and exit points.
