Thirty startups take part in major international tech conferences
Conferences. As part of the Barcelona-Catalonia Startup Ecosystem, a programme supported by the Generalitat and the City Council.
A total of 36 Catalan startups will participate in three of the world’s most important technology conferences at a joint stand with the Barcelona-Catalonia Startup Ecosystem, a Generalitat and City Council programme that aims to transform the city and nation into one of Europe’s main hubs for startups.
The initiative seeks to strengthen Catalan startups’ international networking and encourage companies and investors from all over the world to establish a presence in Catalonia.
The conferences they will be attending are the Switch fair in Singapore until 30 October, the Web Summit in Lisbon from 11 to 14 November and the Slush conference in Helsinki on 20 and 21 November, where Catalonia will be represented for the first time. Both Acció and the Directorate for International Economic Promotion, together with Barcelona Activa at the municipal level, have developed a complementary and joint agenda of activities, including networking events and meetings with companies from the tech ecosystem and potential international partners.
In addition, a personalised agenda has been designed for each Catalan company participating in the Singapore conference, while those taking part in the Web Summit in Portugal will each have a dedicated space to showcase their tech solutions.
