The Barcelona Municipal Tax Office (IMH) will present its innovation project, A shared path towards cultural change, on 27 November at 12 noon in the outdoor courtyard of the IMH as part of the Digital Innovation Caravan. Led by the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Caravan seeks to facilitate the exchange of innovative ideas among public institutions in Catalonia.

In 2024, the Institute began a process of cultural transformation including an in-depth assessment of processes, people, management tools and data. This has made it possible to implement specific actions, such as defining the organisation’s strategy and improving cross-cutting management and collaboration between departments. The result: a working model based on a more participatory and less hierarchical approach.

On this occasion, the IMH is participating in the Caravan as the host organisation. The event will consist of a series of interviews between the organisers and IMH colleagues who are participating or have participated in the most significant transformation initiatives currently underway.

The Digital Innovation Caravan is an initiative enabling public institutions in Catalonia to share innovative practices.

Participating organisations can share local governments’ work and best practices in the field of digitalisation, regardless of their technical capacity or geographical location. This initiative showcases organisations’ best practices and enables other public institutions to gain first-hand insight into the details and value of each project, as well as the challenges facing these institutions.
