The Espai Bombers hosted the 23rd National Firefighter Paramedics Meeting, organised by the Spanish Association of Firefighter Paramedics and with the active collaboration of the Barcelona Fire Service.

Today is the last day of the meeting on tactical medical support, the goal being to update knowledge in various fields such as cleaning procedures and decontamination, procedures for assisting victims of fire and the latest tech solutions in this area.

Attended by over a hundred firefighter paramedics, the meeting also included a practical rescue demonstration of a critical patient via a building façade.

Medics from the Barcelona Fire Service have taken part in various round tables, centring on institutional collaboration on urgent pathologies, the aim being to act efficiently with diagnoses and treatment to reduce fatalities, and in the humanisation of emergencies and processes to extract people via building façades.
