Creation and museums: ‘Hard persistence’ by Helena Vinent

The performance speculates with the idea that when a person receives a prosthesis they stop identifying themselves as a biological organism, and become something which, for many, is trapped inside science fiction: a cyberorganism or cyborg. “Hard persistence” is an autobiographical fiction essay based on the author's relationships with her hearing aids, music and sound from her perspective as a deaf person.
