Since the start of 2018, the call for applications for residencies at Fabra i Coats – Arts Factory has been open on a permanent basis. Throughout the year, the selection commission meets three times to evaluate projects. The deadline of the submission period for applications before this year’s second commision is 31 May – the previous one took place in February.

On the one hand, the residency is open to artists, collectives and cultural associations and representatives with an artistic project of creation and/or production in any artistic discipline. Fabra has large, fully-equipped studios available for all performing arts, medium-sized rooms for music and sound projects, individual study rooms and a shared workspace for developing visual arts and multimedia projects.

In addition, there is also a call for applications from individuals and micro-businesses in the cultural sphere who need a workspace to drive their project forward. This is part of a hive for cultural iniciatives for which Fabra i Coats reserves a 250 m² co-working space and 15 m² study rooms for carrying out creation, production and audio-visual editing work.

This year’s third and final period of grant evaluations will take place at the end of September when all projects submitted before 29 September will be assessed.
