Eclipse
Naomí Rincón
Imagine creatures related to the all-devouring Tzitzimimeh in a past/future that collides in a moment of planetary cataclysm. Tzitzimimeh are supernatural creatures that appear in certain colonial sources from central Mexico such as the Codex Magliabechiano (or The Book of the Life of the Ancient Mexicans Containing an Account of Their Rites and Superstitions) and the Codex Tudela (16th century). These demonic figures come down to devour everything when an eclipse occurs, seeing as the world becomes endangered because the moon devours the sun.
