Health. The guide addresses matters such as hydration during physical activity and which foods help to avoid getting cramp.
The guide ‘Mou-te i menja bé’ addresses twenty frequent questions on healthy eating. The publication is aimed at families, educators and most of all professionals running extra-curricular sports and physical education activities.
The document is a visual and practical light read, which at the same time offers well-founded information on matters that concern physical education professionals. The issues addressed range from recommendations on what to eat and what not to eat when doing sport, keeping hydrated during physical activity and what sorts of foods help avoid cramp and help people to recover better.
The guide has been produced jointly by the Barcelona Institute for Sports and the Catalan Public Health Agency, and comes within the context of the city’s role this year as the World Sustainable Food Capital.
A limited number of hard copies of the guide have been produced for professional sports education staff, with broader dissemination for the general public via this website.
