Disruptions to mobility in Barcelona for Catalan National Day 2024
The various activities and ceremonies being held to mark Catalan National Day on Wednesday, 11 September, mean disruptions to the usual public transport services and some traffic restrictions in city streets. The disruptions will be greater in the afternoon, owing to the demonstration being organised by the ANC at 4 pm.
The demonstration starts in Av. Marquès de l’Argentera and will go along Pg. Picasso and Pg. Pujades, ending up in Pg. Lluís Companys. Traffic restrictions will be in place in these streets during the demonstration.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
People are recommended to use the metro to get around in the city centre. Some stations may be affected by large volumes of passengers, such as Urquinaona (L1/L4), Arc de Triomf (L1) and Barceloneta (L4).
As for the bus network, disruptions will affect buses in the city from around 3.30 pm to 9 pm, possibly affecting the following bus routes: H14, H16, V15, V17, V19, 19, 47, 54 and 120.
