The Fire Service awaits at the celebration at the Ronda de Dalt!
The pergola in front of the Mercat de la Vall d’Hebron is the scene for a string of activities for everybody on Saturday, from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. The Barcelona Fire Service will be there with their PREvenim! education and awareness vehicle, and there will also be displays, an itinerant music group, entertainment, children’s games and an information point for the works being carried out here.
The PREvenim! vehicle features the usual fire and rescue equipment, as well as screens to show videos with advice on fire prevention in the home and self-protection. The vehicle was adapted from an old fire engine which had reached the end of its active service life and was turned into a classroom on wheels.
The event is being organised to celebrate the fact that the second stage of the work to cover the ring road is under way between the Institut Vall d’Hebron and Av. Vallcarca. This section will generate 350 metres of new space for public use, in addition to the 200-metre section already completed.
