This records section refers to the City Council’s political activity, the purpose of which is the government and administration of the whole municipality, as well as that of other bodies responsible to, or linked to, the City Council which manage municipal services.

A102 - Supramunicipal territory (1828-1901)

Records of actions affecting an area which includes more than one municipality that have been ratified by the Catalan Parliament. Also includes territorial aggregations and segregations within the Barcelona municipality.

Call-up files with all the records of anyone who has done military service in accordance with the legislation in force and regardless of the incidents that might flow from that. Set of records and books stating the facts and circumstances that affect the life and civil status of the population. Indexes and registers of births, marriages, divorces and deaths. [Restricted consultation]

A122 - Electoral procedures (1933-1976)

Records referring to electoral processes of a political character, whether they involve the local authority or not. That means municipal, autonomous regional, general or state, and European elections will be identified as well as specific searches concerning especially important political questions. A193 - Municipal Operations Centre for the Olympic Games (1991-1992)

The Municipal Operations Centre was set up to coordinate all the municipal bodies involved in the Olympic Games under the City Council - Olympic Games Programme.

This body gathers the documents relating to municipal action and immediate, urgent decisions taken with the organising committee COOB ‘92. This is now a closed record series, covering the period from 1991 to 1992.
