Barcelona is a network of connections, and this book presents twenty that illustrate how the city is woven together.
To mark its twentieth anniversary, Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals SA (BIMSA) presents this book as a journey through twenty projects that exemplify the more than 750 that have been carried out in the city. Beyond the physical work, each intervention generates a network of connections that shapes our surroundings.
Through analytical, activist, technical and community perspectives, the book shows how urban transformation is the result of a collective and diverse effort. Texts, photographs, illustrations, drawings and infographics invite readers to discover and engage with twenty perspectives rooted in the past, grounded in the present and looking ahead to the future with enthusiasm.
This combination of content offers a stimulating reading experience for both professionals in architecture and urban planning and the general public.
