De vot de ciutat a festa popular de la plaça Nova
- Author/s
- Xavier Cordomí Fernández
Sant Roc has been venerated in Plaça Nova since 1589, for having protected the neighbourhood from the scourge of the plague. Acts of devotion have been held in the old Barcelona without interruption ever since then and it is on 16 August that the saint's day is commemorated every year. This book takes its readers on a journey through the history of the Sant Roc festivities in the Catedral de Barcelona neighbourhood.
