"A break can be what we are aiming for” is a direct quote from the author, Sara Ahmed, which points us towards the idea of rupture as well as pause and interruption. The fragile element may be a structure, context or situation that gradually wears us down, harming us until we break. The fact that we feel vulnerable means that we need safe places and havens where we can gather our strength and build a family, group, tribe or a guerrilla force. The works and formats in this exhibition revolve around and penetrate through these ideas that focus on vulnerability as power, the energy that arises from being demolished while at the same time demolishing, all the time seeking the idea of the safe place as well as the possibility of expanding, of moving both in a fragmented and collective way.
