“Picasso-Barcelona. A cartography“ is a book produced by the historian and conservator at the Picasso Museum until 2022, Claustre Rafart i Planas. It is a special biography about Pablo Picasso and at the same time a guide book that reproduces and retraces the map of Barcelona of the late 19th century and early 20th century. The route proposed by Rafart reveals the enclaves of Barcelona where Picasso lived as an adolescent, young man and adult, and the places he would visit and seek inspiration from, presenting places that are already well-known landmarks on the Picasso route along with others that had not yet been disclosed or linked directly with the artist.

The publication has been awarded third prize for the best book published in 2023 by the Ministry of Culture in the general works and dissemination category.
