Julio Muñoz Ramonet was one of the most enigmatic figures of Barcelona society in the mid 20th century. For decades, despite being one of the most powerful men in the city, he was a man without a face, of whom very few photographs were taken. This multifaceted book sets out to discover who Muñoz Ramonet really was, both as an entrepreneur and as a prolific art collector, gathering pieces over years thanks to shady or downright dishonest business deals. This is achieved through a series of hitherto unpublished texts, by authors who have previously written about Muñoz Ramonet and others who do so here for the first time, providing a fresh vision of the man through new research that sheds light on a story steeped in mystery.
