The vast majority of tea bags contain plastics (polypropylene) to make them more heat resistant, which means that 70-80% of their components are biodegradable. Check the labelling on their packaging for the bags’ material. If they are not 100% biodegradable, dispose of them with residual waste. If you opt for loose tea and infusions, you will avoid producing waste.
