Proximity and competitiveness: a matter of service

Historically La Verneda has long been characterised as a neighbourhood that is quick to adapt to new times. From a name that comes from the trees that lined the ancient riverbank, an original nucleus that soon gave rise to the old town of Sant Martí de Provençals -which dates back to 1052-, the cultivated fields, country houses and churches painted by the best artists of the 19th century (Novell, Mir and Pichot, among others), to the urban development of the fifties, characterised by a high density of buildings and population.

Sant Martí de Provençals has always adapted to new situations and its businesses are firmly resolved to updating and continuing its traditional urban business model of proximity, with special stress on adapting to new horizons of competitiveness and activity, and enhancing quality of service for consumers.
