ARTS WORKSHOP: juggling and skateboard with Dulce Duca
La Central del Circ, in partnership with the MACBA, has launched its registration process and open call for selecting 14 artists and professionals from the worlds of circus and skateboarding (7 from each category) to take part in an artist workshop with Dulce Duca at the crossroads of both art forms.
For the research into her new piece: Sweet Drama, Dulce Duca is mixing with urban arts. Skateboard, DJs, graffiti, juggling, music – the whole invasion of public space on skates – offers an innovative transformation of customary forms of performance by disrupting art and public space with new codes.
This workshop is aimed at jugglers and skaters as elements of subversion of social objects.

Workshop Characteristics
The workshop will consist of an exchange for bringing these two worlds closer together, sharing handling techniques and, especially, artistic attitudes and visions that will culminate in a performance in front of the MACBA in Plaça dels Àngels. The workshop, which is free, will take place from 10-15 June 2019 in front of the MACBA (between La Central del Circ and Plaça dels Àngels) from 11am until 6pm. The final performance will be on Saturday 15 June at 6pm.

- Jugglers;

- Reasons for wanting to be part of the workshop;

Conditions
- La Central del Circ will cover the cost of the workshop;
- Participating artists will be covered by La Central del Circ’s accident insurance;
- Lunch will be offered to all those taking part on Saturday 15 June.
