The exhibition project authors cannot form part of the exhibition in the role of artists. Anyone who has been awarded a prize in previous calls is ineligible for this prize and only one project can be submitted by each author whether as an individual or collective.

Endowments and Benefits

2 prizes are being awarded. The prize will be in the form of a curatorial commission for the exhibition project. Selected finalists will receive, as fees, the sum of 3000 Euros per project, subject to current tax legislation. If candidates live outside Madrid, this amount may be increased to cover possible travel and accommodation costs (with prior account of expenses). These costs will not exceed 1000 Euros.

Each prizewinning project will received a financial sum of 25 000 Euros (taxes included) for the development of each exhibition. Selected curators must commit to developing the functions of production and assembly, as well as providing all necessary documentation (texts, photographs, etc.) for preparing a  catalogue within the planned timescale and in partnership with La Casa Encendida. Likewise, all necessary permissions must be arranged for the exhibition of works and their reproduction in the catalogue, on the internet and in any other printed medium.

If prizewinners fail to fulfil the requested curatorial obligations, without due cause, all received fees will be returned to La Casa Encendida.
