Kinètic - Sala Sandaru – Stage and Dramatic Arts
In its programme of support for creation and the dramatic arts, the Parc Sandaru Community Centre is organising Kinètic 2019-2020.

Open to all creative companies or individuals within the field of the dramatic arts who are developing any discipline with the aim of producing work of quality that shows continuity and commitment and meets the conditions and objectives outlined in the open call regulations.

Application Deadline
Proposals will be welcomed between 16 and 29 September inclusive. Proposals arriving after this latter date will not be accepted.
Conditions
- The project must be a new, unpublished work that is seeking production and eventual performance.
- The centre offers:
- Tailored support according to the requirements of each company.
- Use of rehearsal rooms for between 4 and 6 months (October-May), according to the needs of the company and availability of the community centre.
- A grant of 700€ to support the production of the stage project.
- Use of a storage space for show’s props, costumes etc. during the months of rehearsal up to the day of the premiere.
- Day of joint work between selected companies, Aina Tur and Sílvia Artigas (individuals responsible for programme scheduling and communication respectively at Sala Beckett).
- Technical assistance during the assembly of the set and the performance.
- Dissemination of the production, web 2.0.
- Invitation to different producers in the sector.
- Premiere of the production at Sala Sandaru, on a Friday at 8:30pm, sometime between January and May. Hall with a capacity of 180, Rosco stage (7m wide, 5m deep, 40cm high), 2 dressing rooms and light and sound systems.
- Full box-office receipts on the day of the premiere.
- Post-performance colloquium especially for final year students of Eòlia, Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.
Once proposals have been received and selection completed, an interview with companies will be arranged. In order of selection, the work timetable will be negotiated with each of them and agreements and commitments signed between applicants and the centre.
Any issue unspecified in the open call rules and regulations will be resolved by the organisation, which reserves the right to modify them without this decision signifying any commitment with the participating groups. The latter will be duly informed of any changes.
Selection Criteria
Project selection will take into account those initiatives that take risks in production, artistic research and contemporary creation.

Application Submission
To take part in the application process a dossier must be submitted that includes the following:
- Project proposal: project description and synopsis, motivation, applied techniques, approach, credits list and technical specs. Proposals of original creation will be particularly valued.
- Project timetable: availability of hours, space required and technical requirements for rehearsals (to be agreed with the cultural centre’s dramatic arts team).
- CV of the company and its members.
- Technical requirements for the premiere.
- Material from previous creations, as reference material.
- Fully-completed application form which will become available from 16 September at barcelona.cat/ccparcsandaru
