The Barcelona Mixtur Festival, which is planned to take place this year from 30 September to 10 October 2021 at the Fabra i Coats - Creation Factory, aims to promote creations, education and the dissemination of the music and sound art of our times, as regards research on sound in itself and its interactions with the other arts.

The Mixtur is opening several calls for grants for its 2022 and 2023 editions. On the one hand, its commissions category is calling on composers and videoartists to submit their works. The authors of these works will be commissioned with creating a new work that will première during the festival. As for the soloist, instrumental group, interdisciplinary and sound artist category, any artists wishing to take part live in the festival will have to send a list of works from heir repertoire or which they wish to prepare.
