Research and Collaborative Arts Production Residency at Hangar

Hangar is announcing two vacancies for participating in the second manifestation of its European project Iterations. One of the places will be reserved for an artist with residency in Barcelona while the other will go to an artist from outside the city. The artists selected from this call for applicants will join a group made up of four artists to help in the development of a collaborative arts project throughout a fifteen-day residency.

Each season of Iterations sees a group of artists invited to develop, while in residency, a collaborative arts production based on one or several of the results from the previous season. The first manifestation of Iterations took place in Sicily as part of Trasformatorio. Prior to the Barcelona residency, artists who took part in the first season will meet artists taking part in the second to hand over the material that will become the starting point for the collaboration to be developed in Barcelona.

Organizations participating in Iterations are: Constant (Brussels, Belgium), Esc (Graz, Austria), Trasformatorio (Amsterdam, Holland) and Hangar.
