Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació is now accepting applications for its 2026 residency programmes. There are two categories: artistic projects and music projects. All residencies include free access to space and services, as well as mentoring, support, and the opportunity to take part in promotional and development activities. Residents also participate in the Consell de la Fabra — a space for governance and interaction among residents. Artists are granted access to flexible spaces suited to their practice, selected through open calls. They also receive support and tools to foster connections beyond the facility, helping to boost their professional trajectory.

Music projects

The 2026 music residency call supports the development of music-specific projects under two formats: short-term (1 to 3 months) and long-term (minimum 1 year, maximum 2 years). The deadline to submit applications is 29 September 2025. An information session will be held on 17 September at 6 p.m. at Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació.

Both individuals and organisations may apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Short-term residencies are intended for musicians and music groups in need of a space to research or experiment in sound or musical creation, or who are in advanced stages of a project and need to rehearse for live shows. These residencies last a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months, and must be completed by 31 December 2026. Up to 3 projects will be selected in this category.

Long-term residencies are aimed at artists and music groups working on research, experimentation or creation, who want to use Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació as their regular workspace for a minimum of one year, extendable for up to another year. Up to 12 projects will be selected for this category.

Artistic projects

The 2026 artistic residency call is open to artists working in the performing arts, movement-based and street arts, visual arts, film and audiovisual arts, sound art, multimedia, literature and graphic novels. Applications can be submitted by individuals or collectives who have a project and are willing to share their creative process and engage with the Fabra i Coats context. The deadline to submit applications is 22 September 2025. An information session will be held on 16 September at 6 p.m. at Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació.

Both individuals and organisations may apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Residencies may begin from 8 January 2026 and must last a minimum of one month, ending no later than 31 December 2026. Proposals must be adapted to the available residency spaces and technical feasibility, written using inclusive language with a gender perspective, and aligned with principles of intercultural coexistence, equal opportunities, and the promotion of intercultural dialogue.
