The open call launched in May to fill the position of Artistic Director and Coordinator of La Central del Circ for the 2025–2027 period has now been resolved. The deadline for applications ended on June 29, 2025.

The selection committee, which met on July 22, 2025, has chosen Joan Ramon Graell as the new Artistic Director and Coordinator for this period, with the possibility of a two-year extension. The decision is based on his extensive experience and deep knowledge of the circus sector in Catalonia.

The selection committee was made up of:

• Anna Bosch, Managing Director of La Central del Circ
• Sílvia Capell, user of La Central del Circ
• Adrià Montaña, member of the Artistic Council of La Central del Circ
• Gina Segura, board member of the APCC
• Cristina Tascón, Managing Director of the APCC

The new Artistic Director and Coordinator will join the team at La Central del Circ on September 1, 2025.

Joan Ramon Graell, trained as an aerial porter, has performed in shows such as Rodó and Homeland, and with renowned companies like Circ Cric, Circ Pistolet, and Akoreacro. He later developed as a stage director in collective creations such as Violeta, Invisibles, and Estat d’Emergència. In addition, he was president of the APCC for five years and has been involved in numerous social circus projects.
