The third edition of Rarefacció arrives, the listening cycle is part of the Hangar program, specifically Sala Ricson. The cycle is divided into seven days and is framed within the Audio Formal sound program

The goal of the new edition is to make visible a set of relationships that most artists have included in that year’s program, showing the sound practices of the orbitans, habitants and residents of Hangar.

The proposal supervised by Sergi Botella includes Okkre (Gijón), Rashad Becker (Berlin) and Demetrio Cecchitelli (Rimini). The idea proposes listening to different types of compositions that are very far away from each other at an aesthetic level, but at the same time very close to the emotional level, connected by a system of relationships that somehow evolves the experimental scene and sound creation. Sessions of Violeta Mayoral and Kentaro Terajima. The composition from custom-made instruments for her body and voice by Jenny Abouav. In addition, that year, Rarefacció and On-the-fly (European project led by Hangar), combine efforts and present Olivia Jack, an artist who will present her work in code-coding with the experimental musician George Adje, a session where we will also be able to see Daniel Moreno Roldán and Helicotrema, or the atmosphere with Dron touches by Demetrio Ceccitelli who will share the program with artists from the sound experimentation such as Alfredo Costa Monteiro, Ex Continente or Agnès Pe.

Rarefaction will take place from April 8th to May 27th, every Friday at 18h. The price of the entrance is 5€.
