This January, Sala Beckett, alongside the UOC (Open University of Catalonia) is beginning a new theme-based season of events. Under the title Res no és mentida. Joves i ficció en temps digitals (Nothing is Lies: Young People and Fiction in Digital Times), the season encompasses a series of events taking place until April at the Poblenou venue.

Dramatists such as Juan Mayorga, Cristina Clemente and Col·lectiu VVAA are staging for the first time shows based around this subject followed by corresponding post-performance colloquia. There will also be a staged reading by Davide Carnevali, dramatic readings of texts by Laia Alsina Ferrer and Raúl Moreno and various conferences. Together these activities will provide an opportunity for reflection on the relationship that younger members of society have with fiction at a time when everything is happening on digital devices and the Internet.
