The Ephemeral programme will be appearing as part of Swab Barcelona, the international arts fair taking place from 27 to 30 September at Montjuïc. Ephemeral is a selection of installation artworks that foster public interaction with pieces on display. Under the moniker Softbodies, not ahead but inside, a series of artists offer an exercise in the imagination using the language of sculpture through material exploration.

The artists involve are Duae Collective (a collective founded by Luna Coppola and Silvia Campidelli) with Besós: a noble ecosystem; Irma Marco with El buit (Space); Julia Calvo and El pavelló dels artistes reunits (The Flag/Pavilion of the Assembled Artists); Julia Gorostidi with Julia, Rosa, Angela and the Others After Her; the work by Lara Fluxà; Joguines salvatges (Wild Puppets) by Marina Rubio; and a selection of the APATSS series of paintings by Michael Lawton.

Ephemeral can boast the participation of curator Caterina Almirall and the collaboration of Barcelona’s Arts Factories. The artists presenting their work are residents at Hangar, La Escocesa and Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació.
