This includes theatre projects for the production of classic texts, contemporary texts, new drama (original or adapted) and collective creation.

Cercle Artístic offers:  

• Rehearsal Space
• Performance Space
• Lease and use of infrastructures
• Return ferry journey on one of the Baleària company’s routes to Menorca for participants and their vehicles
• Accommodation for participating company
• Total food allowance of 120 € per person (with receipts)
• Possibility of extending the stay in Menorca to participate in and attend the acts of the XLIV Premi Born de Teatre

Obligations for Selcted Company

• The company will take responsibility for bringing the attrezzi (tools) and necessary technical material for the Residency
• The winning company will commit to staging a performance/production rehearsal, open to the general public, at the conclusion of the residency period (Wednesday 23 October 2019) and organising a class for students of stage arts at the IES Josep Maria Quadrado de Ciutadella.

The Junta Directiva del Cercle Artístic reserves the right to cancel the event.

The performance of projects as part of the 5^th Theatre Creation Residency presupposes full acceptance of the rules. The event organisers are available to resolve any matter not set out in these rules.

To apply for the Creation Residency, each company must submit to premiborndeteatre@gmail.com a project in PDF format with the following content:

a) Arts proposal:

• Project title and brief synopsis/plan of the work to be carried out
• Chosen text with reasons for choice, if relevant
• Specific needs of the rehearsal space and technical requirements
• Plan for each stage of the residency

b) Company:

• Name and contact details of company and individuals taking part in the project
• Precise number of people who will take part in the Residency (this will be considered as the final number of project participants and cannot be modified)
• CV for each company member or individual taking part in the project, together with company CV if relevant.

c) Appendices: as many as the company or project participants consider appropriate.

The Cercle Artístic Steering Committee has the legal authority not to accept projects that do not comply with all the requirements specified above.
