The workshops on offer range from 30–35 m2. The monthly rent is €130 for individual artists and €200 for artist collectives (up to 3 artists). A deposit of €180 is required, which will be returned at the end of the residency. The fees include internet access, electricity, water and other services. As a resident you will have access to the communal areas and the services provided by la Escocesa, which include a shared kitchen, several multi-purpose spaces, computer, sound and video equipment, and a self-publishing workshop equipped with a risograph.
Resident partners will be eligible to apply for the artistic experimentation and research grants offered by the centre, along with internationalisation grants. They will also have the opportunity to participate in projects and exhibitions proposed by La Escocesa. The artistic projects developed within the framework of a residency will receive support from the centre’s technical team—a production assistant in particular—and will benefit from follow-up and support provided by a curatorial committee. La Escocesa will work to integrate the artistic projects developed at the centre into the artistic and cultural networks of the city, and to promote and disseminate the work of the artists through its own communication channels. In accordance with the association-based management model of the centre, the residents who are selected for this opportunity will become partners of Associació d’Idees EMA, which manages the space, and, as partners, they commit to participate in internal coordination meetings and in the activities proposed by the centre.
Failing to pay the monthly fees, prolonged absences from the space, and any breach of the duties of a resident partner may be grounds for the termination of the residency.

In the case of external applicants, the aforementioned jury will be joined by two of La Escocesa’s current resident artists.
