Antonio Beneyto (Albacete, 11 August, 1934 - Barcelona, 23 October, 2020) was a painter, sculptor, writer and subject of video art. In 1967 he moved to Barcelona and became a great ambassador of the city. We pay homage to him at the threshold of the Gothic quarter where he lived. Its streets form part of the title of two of his works: the book Còdols a New York, and the painting Les senyoretes de Rull.

The speakers at this event include experts in the disciplines of his artistic works and friends of his. They do not include all the people we would like to talk about him, but the others will have the opportunity when we dedicate other events to him in Barcelona, where he lived a large part of his life, in Albacete, where he was born, and wherever people want to remember him, because he was a versatile and very stimulating artist.
