Homage to the victims of the 1938 bombings
Dates: Since 22/08/1970
Venue: Sant Antoni
Sant Antoni recalled how the neighbourhood was bombed by Italian planes on Franco’s orders in March 1938. The homage was organised by the Taula de Memòria Històrica de Sant Antoni, started with a talk by Dory Sontheimer and ended with candles being lit at the metro entrance in memory of the bombs’ victims.

In memory of the victims of the Civil War bombings

To pay homage to the 36 people who died on 30 January 1938 in the course of an air raid by the fascist air forces, allies of Franco’s army. A new plaque remembering the victims was unveiled during the ceremony.

Restoration and musealisation of the cheap houses in Sant Andreu

Venue: Bon Pastor
Bon Pastor’s cheap houses were built at the end of the 1920s and are a symbol of working-class tradition. To preserve this historical memory and some of the historical events that have affected them, such as the bombing in May 1937, the block squeezed between the Bellmunt, Barnola, Claramunt and Tàrrega streets will be restored and musealised.
