Antonio de Torres became the creator of the reference model of contemporary guitar in the 19th century. His instruments have seduced a whole elite of guitarists since its inception. Two guitars of his first stage in Seville will be the protagonists of this session: one made in 1866, recently restored by the guitar maker Jaume Bosser and transferred to the Museu de la Música, and the guitar of 1868, which belonged to the virtuoso guitarist Julián Arcas, friend of Torres himself.
It will be an approach to the history of the instrument from a leading figure, led by Jaume Bosser, guitar maker and Maria del Mar Poyatos, musicologist, and with the opportunity to listen closely to the sound of the two instruments with the guitarist Marcos Villanueva.
