Books. ArtsLibris holds its fourteenth edition as the leading fair in self-publishing, artist’s books and photo books.

The fair is being held again at the Mercat de Sant Antoni, from 9 to 11 June. Besides the publishers’ fair, the event also offers exhibitions, workshops, talks, debates and presentations.

Started fourteen years ago on the initiative of the gallery owner and publisher Rocío Santa Cruz, the International Artist’s Book Fair, ArtsLibris, is a meeting point for art lovers looking to add the finest artist’s publications to their collections.

The Directorate for Publishing Services is taking part through a shared stand with the Museu del Disseny, La Virreina – Centre de la Imatge, La Capella and the Fabra i Coats – Fàbrica de Creació, where you can find the latest artist’s books published by Barcelona City Council.

The free-admission fair brings together a hundred exhibitors, including Ojos de Buey, specialising in Spanish documentary photography; ‘El Naufragito’, the oldest fanzine in Spain; A Coruña’s Bartlebooth, a publishing and research platform which was at the Venice Biennial in 2018 and 2021; Dalphine, a Madrid-based publishing company fostering collaboration between photographers, artists and designers, and the Écho 119 gallery from Paris, which is presenting a selection of Japanese photo books.

ArtsLibris opens on Friday, 9 June, when it will be open from 12 noon to 8 pm. The fair opens from 11 am to 8 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
