The Barcelona City Council municipal app directory details useful apps which are designed to serve city residents and which include a wide array of subjects, such as culture and leisure, mobility and transport, technology, tourism and other services.
The Llum BCN 2020 app provides full information on the artistic installations in this year's edition.
These installations can be consulted from a list — which you can arrange in order by distance or name — or can be located on a 3D map also showing the user's location.
The app offers recommended routes and the possibility for users to create new ones according to their tastes. These created routes can be shared with other users who have the app installed.
Users will be able to sketch out strokes of light in the space with augmented reality. These sketches will be stored with their geolocations and the app's users will able to be consult them.
The app also has Notification and Alert sections — where you can check out news about the festival and any alerts on installation incidents — as well as a useful information section — providing useful data for visiting the installations.

Besides being a tool for checking the status of traffic, Trànsit is an app which enables users to view all the images from some traffic cameras in the city of Barcelona. The app includes the following services:
- Traffic: map showing the traffic flow in the city’s main streets, offering the current status and a forecast for 15 minutes later.
- Cameras: cameras appear in order, according to the position of users on the map. Users have the option to single out their preferred cameras and see them in the corresponding section.
- Favourites: cameras singled out by users appear on the map as favourites so they can be accessed quicker.
- Alerts: users get pop-up messages every time they open the app, with possible traffic alerts at that given moment.
