'Els Napoleon. Un estudi fotogràfic'

17 February - 14 May 2011

The Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona showed 'Els Napoleon. Un estudi fotogràfic', an exhibition comprising a selection of 215 photographs from the Napoleon studio, the largest portrait gallery in Barcelona in the second half of the 19th and early 20th century. Founded by Antonio Fernández Soriano, originally from La Mancha, and his French wife Anaïs Tiffon Cassan, and soon joined by their son Emilio, the study, located on Barcelona's Rambla, lasted through three generations and was the place to go for those wishing to be immortalised in a photograph.
