Last year, the library changed its speciality, from maker culture to science fiction. We also undertake projects together at specific times, such as the festa major, or major annual festival, of the Les Corts district; previously, there was regular joint programming.

This public facility is located in a district that is highly mindful of social inclusion in the broadest sense of the term, which is specifically included in the district’s Municipal Action Plan. The Fab Lab encourages involvement in projects that connect with this thematic role, and prioritises working on accessibility in a cross-cutting way.

It has carried out projects that meet the needs of people and communities with functional diversity, and people at risk of social exclusion. In the area of social inclusion, the centre works closely with specific groups, including the IMPD (Municipal Institute for People with Disabilities), the ONCE organisation for the blind, the Les Corts Association of People with Visual Disabilities, mental health and rehabilitation organisations, etc.
