The city of Barcelona has occasioned a large number of compilations about urban experiences as described by numerous authors, such as Manuel de Solà-Morales, Joan Busquets, Josep Maria Huertas Claveria, Lluís Permanyer, Alexandre Cirici and Itziar González. This book is an account of a teaching and research project in the form of an academic subject, organised into visits around the city, which forms part of the syllabus at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura of Barcelona, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. It examines the city in terms of a classroom and laboratory, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the city de Barcelona through its architecture, urban planning, sociology and history among other defining factors.
What are them saying
"Un llibre interessant que dona peu a parlar del passeig com a eina, del caminar com a experiència de “mesurar les distàncies en unitats de cansament”"
