Fabra i Coats: Centre d’Art Contemporani

In December 2020, two days before the United Kingdom closed its borders with the European Union, a 13-metre articulated lorry emptied Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin’s studio in London and set out for Barcelona. It was loaded with 146 boxes of artwork, books, contact prints, negatives, models, personal documents, unpublished works and unrealised projects that were to occupy the third floor of Fabra i Coats. This legacy was gradually exhibited on the second and third floors of the Art Centre, from 20 February to 23 May 2021. A posthumous retrospective that was revealed and took shape little by little as a professional

In this publication, the Bendita Gloria design studio translates the experience of The Late Estate Broomberg & Chanarin, curated by Joana Hurtado Matheu and based on the list of 2045 works transported to Fabra i Coats, a selection of images by the artists and exhibition texts.
