Matter Matters. Designing with the world invites us to reflect on the materiality of historical and contemporary objects and offers a critical and visionary perspective for a fairer, decarbonised and decolonised world.

Thanks to the collaborative effort of its 54 authors, who come from a diverse range of disciplines, among others philosophy, design, architecture, sociology, geology anthropology and chemistry, this book explores and connects lines of thought that converge in the same urgent question: how do we redefine our relationship with matter in a period of historical change?

With over 500 illustrations, it is a window into the Museu del Disseny - DHub project, which, by exhibiting the material nature of its collection alongside innovative contemporary creations, challenges us to question the extractivist principles of the past and to imagine a regenerative and environmentally friendly future.
